These sneakers are part of the Black Label collection of all black shoes and apparel for A Bathing Ape. Bape has had a lot of slick releases in 2008 and this is another unique shoe.
The black-on-black color scheme works very well with the design of this runner. Multiple shades and textures of black are used, including a bit of patent leather.
