Thanks to this technology the NIKE AEROFLY (ASAFA POWELL) now boasts of having record-braking track spikes that are below 100 grams. Despite that, the shoes can still claim durability while providing full support to the wearer.

These shoes were specifically requested by Asafa Powell after he saw the new Zoom Victory Track Spike weighing less than 100 grams being worn by his long distance track and field brethren. A 3D scan of Powell’s foot was taken so that the fit of the shoe will adjust to the rigors of his sub 10 second race.

The NIKE AEROFLY (ASAFA POWELL) has 65 supportive cables per foot and makes use of the new lightweight and comfortable lobe technology for the collar. It features aerodynamic upper that reduces drag allowing Powell’s legs to move up to 100 kilometer per hour.
